Directing
w
ith Duncan McIntosh

Directing a play can be scary for those who have never done it. But, there are landmarks, which can be recognized in the creative process, and there is language which will help to stimulate the creativity in your collaborators. This workshop will help introduce you to those landmarks and that vocabulary.

Once the director finds the words to communicate what s/he wants in language that will stimulate designers, actors, stage managers and producers, her idea directs the thoughts and dreams of everyone involved. This workshop will give you the words to express your ideas.

Duncan McIntosh, Artistic Director of the Prince Edward Island Conservatory, former artistic director of Canada’s largest theatres and internationally acclaimed director, leads this course.

Set a goal with the faculty and make a plan to direct a play..
